So, it’s that time of year when I disappear into a giant stack of books and journal articles. I had to buy a new bookcase because I got tired of hurting my toes and shins on milk crates and stacks. Currently I am writing one term paper on the portrayal of girlhood on the border in the narrative productions about the Juarez Feminicide, the other term paper on the “new girl” in John Dos Passos’s The 42nd Parallel, and conference paper proposals about the discourse of sisterhood in the UN Girl Up Initiative and the media portrayal of Malala Yousufzai. Plus, you know, grading and all that. So it may be a bit longer for a real post.
Until then, here’s this. Enjoy!:
